Help4Nam is a registered charity based in Staines-upon-Thames (TW18 3EH), working towards alleviating hunger in the children and their families that live in underprivileged communities in Namibia. They have built up an operation in Namibia, and in 2022 registered the HFN Charity Organisation with the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) under Section21 registration number 21/2022/1096.
This enables Help4Nam to partner with Namibian businesses and other charitable foundations and organisations to get essential help to the most disadvantaged families in its areas of focus: Okahandja, Rehoboth, Groot Aub and Windhoek. The projects include a community hub second-hand shop in Rehoboth, opened in September 2025. This aims to provide affordable and quality second-hand clothing and other items to people who can’t afford new – or who prefer vintage and are environmentally aware.
They organize food parcels, which are primarily distributed through schools. According to the website “Here at Help4Nam we believe no child should go hungry. That is why we fundraise to help feed as many families as we can through our food bank network in order to achieve our charity goals. Operating as a non-profit and non-government organisation we rely solely on donations. Funds raised go directly towards purchase of dry, non-perishable food and essential toiletry supplies from wholesalers in Namibia which we prepare into food parcels. These emergency food parcels consist of enough food to feed a family of 4 for about 7-10 days”.
Help4Nam also organizes businesses in Namibia to sponsor a day at a soup kitchen for children during winter. Volunteers from the business set up and run the soup kitchens to feed up to 150-200 children per session. They can and also learn more about the communities and the difficulties they face.
Help4Nam has a strong history of working with Namibian businesses, sports clubs, charities and foundations (including Gondwana Care Trust (GCT) and MTC Care, an initiative funded by employees of MTC Namibia) to help them reach those most in need in the areas where Help4Nam works.
